Conservation of Mangroves
In the age of growing environmental insecurity, mangroves are one of the many endangered plant lives. The booming Infrastructural projects leading to land reclamation in a developing country like India is one of the strongest reasons for the dwindling mangrove forest. The dwindling Mangroves have not only lead to the extinction of many animal species but is also a big threat to the entire ecosystem. Having always identified environment protections as one of the key ethics of a Nation’s progress I believe in sustainable development and thus strongly urge for strong actions to be taken in order to protect the endangered mangrove forest. Keeping in mind the urge for conservation and protection of Mangroves in the country, I raised the issue in the parliament and also demanded to seek the details of the already implemented steps to conserve the mangrove forest.
The government has taken some key steps and some strong actions to conserve and protect the Mangroves in the recent past and the optimism towards progressing sustainable development will definitely help to conserve the Mangroves in India.
